Conservation in Richmond
Richmond is home to the longest coast line in Contra Costa County. Flush with marine and coastal environments, the City is well endowed with wetland resources. Inland the East Bay Hills run through eastern Richmond where remnant coastal terrace prairie, oak woodland, and native bunchgrass prairie still flourish. EBCNPS has been active in working with the City and local environmental groups to increase awareness about the wonderful resources in Richmond and how to think about sustaining them.
